Getting Started with Tomo
Welcome to Tomo! This guide will help you get set up and find your first activity in just a few minutes.
Download the App
Tomo is available for both iOS and Android devices. Download it from your device's app store:
- iPhone/iPad: Search "Tomo" in the App Store
- Android: Search "Tomo" in Google Play Store
Create Your Account
Sign up using one of these methods:
- Phone number: Enter your phone number and verify with a code
- Email: Use your email address and create a password
- Social login: Sign in with Google, Apple, or Facebook
Set Up Your Profile
A great profile helps others get to know you. Here's what to add:
Profile Photo
Upload a clear, friendly photo of yourself. Profiles with photos get more activity invites!
Bio
Write a short introduction about yourself. Mention your hobbies, what you enjoy doing, or what kind of activities you're looking for.
Interests
Select activities you enjoy or want to try. This helps us show you relevant activities and connect you with people who share your interests.
Enable Location
For the best experience, allow Tomo to access your location. This helps us show you activities happening near you. Don't worry—we never share your exact location with other users.
Find Your First Activity
- Open the Discover tab to browse activities near you
- Use filters to narrow down by category, date, or distance
- Tap on an activity to see details, including who's hosting and who's going
- Tap Request to Join to send a request to the host
- Once approved, you'll get all the details to show up!
Pro Tip
Start with activities that have a few participants already—they tend to be more active and welcoming to newcomers!
