Community Guidelines

Tomo is a place to find activities and meet people. To keep it that way, please don't:

Harm Others

  • Harass, bully, threaten, or intimidate anyone
  • Discriminate based on race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or any other characteristic
  • Share content that's violent, hateful, or sexually explicit

Be Deceptive

  • Impersonate someone else
  • Post misleading or false information
  • Create fake profiles or spam

Break the Law

  • Use Tomo for anything illegal
  • Solicit money or promote scams
  • Share others' private information without consent

Disrupt the App

  • Attempt to hack or access other accounts
  • Use bots or automated systems
  • Interfere with how Tomo works

We take these guidelines seriously. Violations may result in account suspension or termination.

Activities & Meetups

It's Your Choice

Tomo helps you discover activities and connect with people. What you do from there is up to you.

Personal Responsibility

You participate in activities at your own risk. We don't conduct background checks on users or verify activity details.

No Guarantees

We can't guarantee the safety, quality, or legality of any activity or the behavior of any user.

Be Smart, Stay Safe

  • Meet in public places, especially for first meetups
  • Tell a friend or family member your plans
  • Trust your instincts—if something feels off, leave
  • Don't share sensitive personal info with strangers

If You're Hosting

Provide accurate details about your activity. Be responsive to participants and communicate any changes.

Your Content

What's Yours Stays Yours

You own the photos, text, and other content you post.

License to Us

By posting, you give Tomo permission to display your content within the app. This helps us show your profile and activities to other users.

Keep It Appropriate

Only post content you have the right to share, and make sure it follows our community guidelines.

Our Content

Tomo's Property

The app's design, features, logos, and original content belong to Tomo. Please don't copy, modify, or redistribute them without permission.

Privacy

Your privacy matters. Check out our Privacy Policy to understand how we handle your information.

Termination

We May End Access

We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or harm the community.

You Can Leave Anytime

Delete your account through Settings whenever you want. We'll remove your data according to our Privacy Policy.

Disclaimers

"As Is" Service

Tomo is provided as-is. We don't guarantee it will always be available, error-free, or meet your expectations.

No Warranties

We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose.

Limitation of Liability

We're Not Liable For:

  • Actions of other users
  • Events or activities organized through the app
  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Maximum Liability

Our total liability won't exceed what you've paid us in the past 12 months, or $100, whichever is greater.

Your Responsibility

You agree to hold Tomo harmless from claims arising from:

  • Your use of the app
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Activities you host or attend
  • Your interactions with other users

Disputes

Let's Talk First

Before filing any claim, contact us to try resolving the issue informally.

Arbitration

Disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration rather than court, except for small claims.

No Class Actions

You agree to resolve disputes individually, not as part of a class action.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms as Tomo evolves. We'll notify you of significant changes. Continuing to use the app after changes means you accept them.

General

  • These Terms are the entire agreement between you and Tomo
  • If any part is unenforceable, the rest still applies
  • Our failure to enforce something doesn't waive our right to do so later
