Account & Profile

Manage your account settings, update your profile, and control your privacy on Tomo.

Editing Your Profile

Keep your profile up to date to help others get to know you:

  1. Go to your Profile tab
  2. Tap Edit Profile
  3. Update your photo, bio, interests, and other details
  4. Tap Save to apply changes

Profile Tips

  • Use a clear, friendly photo of yourself
  • Write a bio that reflects your personality
  • Keep your interests updated for better recommendations

Account Settings

Access your settings by tapping your profile icon and selecting Settings:

Email & Phone

Update your contact information. You may need to verify new email addresses or phone numbers.

Password

Change your password at any time. We recommend using a strong, unique password.

Linked Accounts

Connect or disconnect Google, Apple, or Facebook accounts for easy sign-in.

Notification Settings

Control what notifications you receive:

  • Activity Updates: Get notified about activities you've joined
  • Messages: Alerts for new messages
  • New Followers: When someone follows you
  • Nearby Activities: Suggestions for activities near you
  • Reminders: Reminders before activities start

Privacy Settings

Profile Visibility

Choose what information is visible on your public profile. Your email and exact location are always private.

Activity History

Control whether others can see activities you've attended.

Blocking Users

Block users from their profile. They won't be able to see your profile, activities, or message you.

Downloading Your Data

You can request a copy of your personal data at any time. Go to SettingsPrivacyDownload My Data. We'll prepare your data and notify you when it's ready.

Deleting Your Account

We're sad to see you go, but you can delete your account at any time:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Tap Account
  3. Select Delete Account
  4. Confirm your decision

Warning

Account deletion is permanent. Your profile, activities, messages, and all associated data will be removed. This cannot be undone.

Logging Out

To log out, go to Settings and tap Log Out at the bottom. You can always log back in with your email, phone, or social account.

Account Security

  • Use a strong, unique password
  • Don't share your login credentials
  • Enable biometric login (Face ID / fingerprint) for extra security
  • Log out on shared devices
  • Report suspicious activity to security@gettomo.app
